Counter-example for your FAQPage point: I have one FAQ page with 7 questions, very specific to my product's use case, and it's consistently cited verbatim by Perplexity. Sample size is 1, but the specificity of the questions seems to matter more than the count. My FAQs are things like 'Does [product] work with [specific integration]?' — not generic 'what is [category]?' fluff.
The 'name in the H1 or first 200 words' requirement is something I check before agreeing to any podcast now too. Also started asking if they have an audience of at least a few thousand listeners — not because of the direct traffic, but because larger audiences mean listeners write about episodes, which creates the secondary citation path.
For buyer-intent queries I'd bet on Perplexity Sonar 3 first in 2026. It crawls freshest and the citation link actually drives clicks — I have GA4 referrals from Perplexity showing up in my pipeline now. Google AI Mode is next if you're already ranking well in organic. ChatGPT last unless you're heavily in a category where Reddit/HN discussion is the trust signal.
What does 'claim-first hero copy' look like vs 'metaphor-first'? Can you share before/after even if anonymized? I think I have a metaphor-first hero right now and want to know if it's actually the problem.
Would genuinely use that 'what to ask before hiring a GEO agency' checklist. Please post it.
